How I Got My First Fiverr Order in Just 2 Days (And How You Can Too)

Hello Everyone!

I am Mahesh Khadka, a full-time graphic designer and freelancer. I recently started my career on Fiverr, and I'm writing to share a story with you that actually happened.

I received my first Fiverr order only 2 days after I created my gig!

That's right, just two days - and I will tell you why: I concentrated on my abilities, made a great gig image, and was active.

🎨 First Fiverr Gig

I decided to go with something I am skilled at -- vector tracing and logo redraw.

I created the gig:

👉 Convert and redraw any image/logo to vector file

In this gig I help clients to convert low quality logos into clean print quality vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF).

✅ Why I Got My First Order Pretty Quickly

The number one reason was because of my gig image.

Here is what I do:

1. I highlighted that I made a clean, colorful gig image, that appeared professional.
2. I showed a before/after example of my vector work.
3. I added a few words that were short and bold, including "FAST Vector File in 24 Hours."
4. I used my own design, not random icons.

Tip: Your gig image is like a thumbnail - eye-catching!

📬 Day 2: I Got My First Order

I was beyond excited when I saw a notification from Fiverr:
    "You have a new order!"
The client found my gig, liked my profile image, and ordered right away. I got all the work done on time and they gave me a 5-star review!

That one review was able to help propel my profile.

💡 What I Learned

If you are just starting here are some simple tips:
  1.     Hone in on one skill you are good at (like logo design, creative writing, or video editing).
  2.     Construct a clear, colorful gig image - show what you do.
  3.     Write a concise, helpful gig description - self-describe how you will help them.
  4.     Set a price that is suitable for a beginner - not too low or too high.
  5.     Be online regularly - Fiverr gives you better ranking if you are active.

🚀 How you can take action

Want to take action towards your first order too? Use this structured plan for success:
  1.     Create one good gig input to start with will a skill you do best.
  2.     Use the free Canva or Photoshop to design your gig image.
  3.     Make sure that you have real examples of your work added in your gig.
  4.     Respond quickly to your message.
  5.     Deliver your work on time and your best work - reviews count!

 ðŸ™Œ Final Thoughts

Now you can see, getting your first order on Fiverr is not as difficult as you think!
If I can do it, then so can you!

Make use of your skills, create an attractive gig (and make it as appealing as possible), and do a good job. Clients want to hire freelancers like you!
